Privacy Policy
Last updated October 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how The Health Brief ("we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you visit thehealthbrief.co (the "Site").
Information we collect
- Information you provide: if you contact us, we collect your name, email address and message.
- Information collected automatically: device, browser and usage information, including IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages visited, time on page and approximate location, collected with cookies and similar technologies.
Analytics and advertising partners
We use Microsoft Clarity and PostHog to understand how the Site is used, and advertising measurement tools including the Meta pixel on some pages. Analytics on the Site is operated with Vea Health, with which we have a financial relationship (see How we make money). When you follow a link from the Site to Vea Health, a visitor identifier and campaign parameters travel with the link. Information you give Vea Health, including any health information, is governed by its own privacy policy. We do not collect health information on the Site.
Newsletter and consumer health data
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address, which newsletter you chose, the page you subscribed from, and when and on what terms you gave consent. Because our newsletters cover health topics, the fact that you subscribed may reveal a health interest, which some state laws (including Washington's My Health My Data Act) treat as consumer health data. We collect it only with your consent, use it only to send the newsletter you asked for and measure whether it is opened, and never sell it. We send email through Customer.io, and our email operations are run with Vea Health, with which we have a financial relationship. You can unsubscribe with the link in any email, withdraw consent, or ask us to delete your data by writing to privacy@thehealthbrief.co.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it with service providers who help us run the Site, with the analytics and advertising partners above in pseudonymous form, and when required by law.
Your choices
You can control cookies in your browser settings. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR, including access, correction and deletion. Contact us to exercise them.
Children
The Site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
